Carter got up early and helped the Island caretaker, Chet, collect seaweed for the lobster bake. I think Carter was Chet's right hand man most of the week...it was pretty cute if you ask me! :)
~Carter & Chet~ Carter loved riding around in the golf cart!
Everybody was interested in the live lobsters although the girls didn't really want them any where near them...
But, the boys didn't mind at all...
~Cameron~
Let the bake begin! First, they filled the trough with seaweed. Then placed potatoes & onions (wrapped in foil), corn on the cob, & several cartons of eggs on top of the seaweed...
Next, they placed the lobsters on top...
covered everything with seaweed, and lit the fire...
A couple hours later, it was ready!
~Chet...our amazing cook!~
And it was Good...
Yummy!
Afterwards, we had to work off some of the calories we consumed (I only ate 3 lobsters!) so we went on a hike around the entire Island. Much of it is rocks, and there were a couple of tricky places where you had to scale the rocks. If you fell, you'd be in the ocean!
