A Day at the Salon

Taylor had really straight hair when she was younger...

Taylor~age 9

Once she turned 11, her hair started to get frizzy and curly in parts. She could no longer "wash and go". For awhile it was manageable if we round brushed and flat ironed it. Last spring, she got a perm, remember? (If not, click here). The perm helped even it out a little but her hair was still pretty crazy and out of control. Basically, she has worn it "up" everyday (i.e. pony tail, braids, etc.) for the last year because it looks like this down... (Before Pictures)

But not anymore! This morning she had a Japanese Thermal Straightening procedure done on her hair...

...and now it looks like this...

Can you believe the difference? We are so excited! It should last for 8-12 months before she'll have to have it done again and the best part...it's completely a "wash & go" style! Woo Hoo!!!!

Lauren got her hair cut too...

We think hers turned out cute too!

Are we there yet?

We've had lots of company the past couple months. In fact we've had someone staying at our house 26 out of the last 60 days. Throw in 3 birthdays, 2 b-day parties, 3 day trips to Dallas, 1 funeral, 1 Halloween party, and Halloween in the mix and you'll understand why we're exhausted!!! :) Not to mention, we've not been eating as healthy as "normal" and are feelin' that too! It's been fun, but we're ready to do nothing for awhile...

Grandpa & Grandma McDougall have decided to rent a house in a nearby retirement community for the months of December and January! We are excited that we will be able to see them as much as we want! Hurray!

Happy Halloween

My parents have been visiting for the past week and got to spend Halloween with us! We loved having them here!
