Taos . . . Day 3

 For the second day in a row, we . . .

. . . got up early & headed to the slopes.

The kids & husbands took lessons all day again.  Taylor lucked out & got private lessons that afternoon.  It was at that point that she made huge strides.  She was a natural, & the first out of the "beginners" to get to try the slopes on the big mountain.  She did awesome!

. . . were fearless, & FAST!  They too, made huge improvements their second day skiing!  

Taos . . . Day 2

We got up early and headed to Taos Ski Valley.  Laurie and I were the only ones who had ever skied before but it had been 20 years for us both.  So, the first stop was the ski school to sign everyone up for lessons!

Do you like our matching outfits?  We did not plan that.  It happens all the time.  We shopped separately and both ended up buying the exact same color hat, ski pants, etc.  Someone asked if we were twins!  :)  I guess we think like twins!  Great minds think alike, right?

We spent the rest of the day skiing together . . .

It was a great day!

Taos . . . Day 1

The kids were out of school last week.  So, we . . .

 packed up our winter gear and headed to Taos, New Mexico with the Groppe's . . . 

We rented a house together.  It was nice.  It had a 

full kitchen . . . 

2 master bedrooms, 2 regular bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and plenty of space for everyone to chillax. . .   

 It even had a hot tub . . . 

. . . and a pool next door.   It was perfect.  The first day in Taos, we rented snow mobiles and had a blast!

The kids were so excited as they don't remember ever seeing or playing in so much snow!

I am feeling much better.  Thank you for your prayers.  We were able to go on our vacation . . . I can't wait to tell you all about it.  Lauren's thumb is healing nicely as well.  

We are on the mend.

I need your prayers.

Five years ago . . .

~Lauren & Halli 2007 ~

. . . I had a horrible thing called vertigo.  It was miserable.  I have prayed every day, for the past five years,  that I would never get it again.  Wednesday morning, I woke up with it again.  I do not have it as severely as last time but it is still miserable and debilitating.  Will you please pray for me, that I will make a quick recovery?  We are supposed to be leaving on a family vacation soon and I really need to be better.  Thank you.  

Tuesday, at recess, Lauren broke her thumb.  She is in a thumb splint and should heal fine.  But, if it's not asking too much, would you mind praying for her as well?  You're the best.

Dreams do come true!

Last night, Carter . . .

. . . refereed his first basketball game.  

He was born for this job.  

 Afterwards, he said, "I'll remember this for the rest of my life cuz' it was awesome!"
