After our amazing stay on the Island, we drove to Yonkers, NY and headed straight to a laundry mat...
...where we spent a couple hours washing all of our clothes.
Then we headed to our hotel, let the kids swim, and tucked them into bed...
We were exhausted from all the fun we'd had at the Island.
The next morning, we got up early and took the subway into New York City!
We saw the Fire fighter's Memorial at Ground Zero...
the (almost finished) Freedom Tower...
the Brooklyn Bridge...
the Statue of Liberty...
and Ellis Island...
We went to the Top of the Rock observation deck for an amazing view of Central Park...
and the Empire State Building...
Then we headed to Times Square...
We loved the M&M Store...
and the Hershey's Store...
But I think the highlight for us all was seeing The Lion King on Broadway...
It was excellent! We all loved it, even Carter who didn't think he was much of a "broadway kind of guy." ;)
